Steffen-Haus is on 17 acres of land. We are a small kennel strictly committed to excellence. We have a very knowledgeable staff on hand to help answer any question you might have on the German Shepherd. We consult and guide our new puppy owners.

Steffen-Haus is the leader in producing the Total German Shepherd dog by the balance of conformation , sound structure, and work ability. There is simply no compromise for quality. Key to our consistency is knowing the genetic background of the dogs.

Steffen-Haus has always believed that quality is more important than quantity. We have a small number of dogs consisting of breeding females, younger stock and older retired dogs. All dogs are supervised on premises by Ms. Steffenhagen. All dogs have their own individual runs. The kennels are air conditioned in the summer, heated with a central heater in the winter.

To keep these conditions clean and to ensure each dog is properly cared for we have a very high ratio of staff to dogs. The concrete dog runs are disinfected every day. The puppy runs are cleaned a minimum of three times a day. All dogs have access to three park like fenced areas for exercise (one is 12 acres). Individual dogs are walked on a consistent basis off property.

The adult dogs are fed twice a day, the puppies (up to six months) are fed three times a day with all meals prepared in a fully equipped kitchen in the kennel. Steffen-Haus dogs enjoy a well balanced diet consisting of high quality dry food, meat and proper supplements.
